This is a page that "should be" pretty cool once it's all done but this is my first web page so it probably won't be great at first but it should get better as time goes on. The main focus of this page is of course Ninety Pound Wuss, which i think is the best band ever. They are a christian punk band that is mainly from Port Angeles, WA. They have two full length albums out so far but you can get more info on them below. Next below is info on me, then the next text is disc info....have fun! But first, i am going to put some band info down. The vocals on both albums are done by Jeff Suffering and the drums are done by Marty Martinez. The guitar on the 1st album is done by John Himmelberger he does guitar on the 2nd album on tracks 1, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 12, and 14. The guitar on the other tracks on the 2nd album were done by John Spaulding. Bass on the first album was performed by Matt "Gunner" Nelson and on the 2nd album by Dale Yob. Their e-mail is [email protected] and their mailing address is PO Box 823 Port Angeles, WA 98362

Info about me....
|
|
My name is David Strand and I live in Sycamore, IL (it is about an hour and a half west of Chicago) It is a small town (about 11,000) and I just turned 16 (and got my license) on June 5th. I have my own car (a 1988 Volkswagon Fox with some of the worst accelaration found in any car but it's a stick so it's cool). I go to Sycamore High School and i'm going to be a junior next year. I am playing football and after football is out i hope to get a job. My main musical interests are christian Punk, Hardcore, Grindcore, different types of metal, pretty much anything that's heavy. I still kind of like dc Talk, Newsboys, Audio Adrenaline, but not that much. My favorite band ever is, as you can see by my page, Ninety Pound Wuss. I found out about them by turning on a christian music video station we USED to get (they got rid of it....that really got me PO'ed) and i saw a guy with a red mohawk headbanging. It was the end of the video so i didn't hear any music but i saw that the artist was 90 Lb. Wuss so next time i went to visit relatives in Goshen, IN i went to this cool little christian music store by Everett's and i bought the CD never before having heard the music. I went to my grandma's and listened to it and completely fell in love with it. That was a good 8 mo. ago and it has been my fave cd during that whole time. I bought 90 Lb.'s 2nd CD a few months ago and it is pretty cool too, even though i don't think that it is as good as the first one. That's enough for now so i will end this part by listing some other artists that i like....Mortification, Strongarm, Living Sacrifice, One-21, Zao, Six Feet Deep, Tourniquet, and many more.....

Album info.....

90 Lb. Wuss' first album was self-titled and is the above picture of a kid picking his nose. I think this is the best CD ever made that i have heard. It is easily my fave CD of all time, it has so many different "styles" on it that it is awesome. I don't think a single song on the first album is over 3 min. long and all 19 of them are played at breakneck speed. My fave song is "Girl Song" with "Something Must Break" a close second. after that i have a few preferences in songs but they are all VERY close together because they are all sweet! In every song there is something that i like, not a bad song on the album. That brings us to their second album, which is titled "Where Meager Die of Self-Interest." This album is different than the first one. The first album i think was more fun, before and after some songs you might hear someone in the band say something like "Have you gotten taller? then laughing" On the 2nd album this is all gone as is the ALL breakneck speed in the songs. Let me try to explain....for example, the first song starts out slow and Jeff says about four lines THEN it breaks into the traditional breakneck speed and yelling. The 2nd album also has more screaming and it sounds like the vocals are more in the background. This CD has 14 songs and most of them are a little longer than the ones on the first CD. The 14 song begins as usual and ends at about 2 minutes but then it gets quiet and you hear fiddling around on the guitar for a few minutes, screaming, more cool guitar, more screaming, more guitar, more screaming, more guitar, then the end. The 14th song is about 14 minutes long. My fave song on this CD has to be "The Dawning of the Night Divine" with "Backwards Thinking" in second. I like all the songs on this album, but not as much as i like all of the songs on the first CD, but that doesn't mean at all that the 2nd CD isn't recommended. Out of 10 *'s i would give the 1st CD an easy 10/10 *'s. The 2nd CD i would have to give 8.5/10 *'s. I have heard that they are working on a 3rd CD but i haven't heard a release date yet so.....
